Arugam Bay

Arugam Bay is a bay situated on the Indian Ocean in the dry zone of Sri Lanka’s southeast coast. The bay is located 320 km due East of Colombo. “Ullai” as Arugam Bay is locally known is a small fishing village, popular surfing and tourist destination. Beyond surfing there are many things can be enjoyable, Lagoon tour, bird watching, elephant watching, Kumana National Park,   many ancient ruins & archaeological sites. Arugambay is a place for surfers Nature Lovers and people whom enjoy a simple laid back lifestyle, associated with beach life. The bay fills up during the European Summer Holiday period this is a happening time, a lot of late nights and good times to be enjoyed by all.
